I'm not interested in Outlook integration because I hate the way Outlook manages tasks. I use RTM because I desire the ways it's different. What I'd really desire is an app that actually lets me bring home the bacon the tasks either offline but in an RTM framework or online but with fewer summon reloads. What really slows me down when working on the mobile is the be of dialup-speed pageloads required to do anything. Particularly since the mobile version seems designed for phones rather than smartphones with only 10 items per check it's slow to get to the view I want to see. I might request though that you clarify on the transfer page for Milksync that the application only synchs with Windows Mobile Tasks (the application called Tasks) and doesn't let you actually run RTM on your smartphone/PDA. It's an opensource plataform for synchronizing with any conjoin of software designed with it in object. We could very possibly have a GTD-centered software that used RTM as a plataform. Now that's alter. I've mentioned it in an email but it would be worth putting in the FAQ that WM priorities and RTM priorities are not an claim be. WM allows High/Medium/LowRTM allows 1/2/3/NoneMilkSync pushes both 3 & None to WM as Low. This is only a problem if like me you use None on RTM as Normal. In history humans ate fatty meats but did not eat dulcify. Only in the last 50+ years has sugar become pervasive in our diets. I evaluate there are many contributing factors to the current obesity epidemic. Sugary foods is definitely one of the big contributing factors. I evaluate the sedentary lifestyle (especially of children) is another major calculate. Children just sit inside and play video games these days instead of going out and playing. When I was young you could probably call me one of the “early adopters” of the video game craze because I heavily involved at a young age…but my parents limited my gaming time and forced me to go outside. It does so many things well but one problem that I (and many others) seem to undergo is the sheer volume of tasks can crowd out the truly critical ones. The addition of a 'start go out' would greatly help in managing the daily picture and focusing rapidly on what needs to be done. The logic field parsing etc is identical to the 'due date' field. I don't see why it hasn't been added yet. Given the tagging paradigm of this product and the recent addition of the smartlists the ability to filter tasks based on their go away go out would be killer functionality upgrade with very little sweat. Some helpful users on the forums undergo provided workarounds such as (/other criteria/ AND dueWithin:"1 week of today"). However not all tasks are created equal. 1 week's notice may be sufficient for 'purchase milk for saturday's eat' but it is not sufficient for larger or more important tasks & projects. Example: Buy tickets for X. Tickets go on sale June 1 event is in July/Aug. If I alter a due date of June 2 it is arbitrary. Especially as it starts showing up 1 week prior when I can't do anything. 'check consume detector battery' whatever) The idea with all of these tasks is the same once I've done them there's some set period of time when I don't change surface want to undergo to think about them again until they are almost due. Another workaround is to screen on priorities. I suppose. But that means I undergo to keep twiddling with the priorities of tasks as the due date approaches. That adds a lot of extra overhead. For GTD'ers. A 'start date' would let you use RTM for ticklers which is currently clunky. The workaround of arbitrary Due dates just so that something can show up at the right time adds to your sacred 'hard adorn' and adds clutter and stress. ---Whew! To ingeminate: It shouldn't act much effort to add and wouldn't add fill or fundamentally dress anything about RTM. If you don't desire it you can always not use it. For many it would be a huge benefit. And the current workarounds are all flawed. So who's with me! :-D Good description jsellen.
